Welcome to the May 2009 edition of the BGL Client Newsletter.

 

2009 has proven to be a busy and challenging year for us all. But just because the global economy is not at its best, does not mean that BGL should stop doing what it does best. Over the past couple of months, there have been updates to CAS, Simple Fund and Simple Ledger. Support response times have come back to under 2 hours and we have held another very successful series of national product update seminars. On 1 April 2009, we opened our Sydney training office and a couple of weeks ago, at our first managers retreat for 2009, put in place plans to open training offices in Brisbane and Perth before the end of 2009.

 

May 2009 will see the release of another new product, Portal by BGL. Portal is a web based data access and client collaboration tool that is fully integrated with your CAS, Simple Fund, Simple Invest and Simple Ledger software. Portal gives your clients access to your BGL application data and documents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Portal also automates communication with your clients through its unique document delivery, retrieval and reminder system. Portal will replace our CASNet and FundNet products. But unlike these products, Portal can be hosted in either a secure data centre or at your office. BGL will also be holding product information session on Portal and BGL Query for all clients over the next few weeks, 

 

Planning is also well underway for the 2009 Simple Fund tax release in early July 2009 and major CAS, Simple Invest and Simple Ledger updates later in the year. At the same time, Product Update seminars will be held in August 2009 and our hands on training schedule for the second half of 2009 will be released in the next few weeks.

 

The next few months will be very exciting for all of us at BGL. Portal by BGL heralds the evolution of the BGL product suite and sets our future direction of integrating our client / server applications with web based products giving clients fully featured economical solutions with absolute data security, integrity and control.
