CAS Version 11.1 (19/09/2008) is currently available on our web site. To download the latest update, please log in to the BGL Client Centre.

CASNet version 6.0 is also available for clients to download from the BGL website please log in to the BGL Client Centre.

The CAS product team have been working on our next major release, version 11.2. This release will include many new improvements that will be seen in the software in the coming months.

We have updated numerous CAS processes in version 11.2 which provide significant speed and efficiency benefits. Common process like exporting documents has shown improvements in speed by up to six times and there is still more changes to come before the release that should enhance this even further.

Aside from the general improvements made to CAS, the way it operates and adopting more defined client\server functionality, we are also adding several new major features and modules as follows:

Report Editor - All existing CAS reports, (every report in CAS including members registers, share certificates, transfer journals etc) will now be fully customisable and able to be saved as templates that better suite your organisation and its requirements.

The scope of the level of editing that can be done involves every aspect of each report from colours, logos, fonts, styles and the removal of fields that may not be required.

CAS Forms – The CAS forms module will enable clients to produce customised suites of forms not currently in CAS. The initial forms suite offered is the remaining FS documents that are not currently within CAS and an ASX forms pack encompassing all ASIC forms that are required for ASX listed companies.

CAS forms allows for fields within CAS to be used to automatically populate these forms and also allow for the remaining fields to be entered on screen after the form is produced. This document is then saved and added to Document Tracking.

BGL Query - This feature will enable clients to query the CAS database in plain English and produce documents or reports from any or all of the data stored within your CAS product.

All reports are also fully customisable and enable users to produce valuable information in the style and format of your organisation.

This feature can also be used for items such as mail merges and extracting data from CAS required for producing your Companies Annual Reports.

All information that is normally contained in these types of documents and any reports can be extracted and queried through BGL Query to display user's requests.

The CAS Product team has also been working on many compliance changes within the United Kingdom jurisdiction.

The UK Companies House have adopted a new XML lodgement system to lodge documents electronically, similar to how CAS operates with ASIC in Australia.

The CAS product team has had a successful testing period with the UK Companies House and a new update including these changes will be available for all clients shortly.  

CAS TIP

Form 410, 410B, 410F
There are now three forms that can be used to reserve a company name. If clients are on version 11.1 they can lodge all three of these forms electronically to ASIC.

Form 410
The form 410 is to reserve a company name where a company does not have an A.C.N. This form can be signed by the Agent.

Form 410B
The form 410B is used to reserve a company name where the company currently has a valid A.C.N. This form is required to be signed by a director, secretary or alternate director of the company.

Form 410F
The form 410F is used to extend the reservation of a company name where the company has a valid A.C.N. This form is required to be signed by a director, secretary or alternate director of the company.
